During the first half of this year, 16 new brands entered the Czech retail market. The majority opened in Prague (14), with one each in Ostrava and Pardubice. Food & beverage (7 brands) and fashion (4 brands) clearly lead the expansion, with most newcomers coming from Germany, Italy, and Romania. A further wave of major entries and flagship store openings is expected in the second half of the year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Food & Beverage Drives Market Growth<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Food & beverage remains the fastest-growing segment. A standout opening is BOSS Caf\u00e9 on Prague\u2019s Na P\u0159\u00edkop\u011b street\u2014one of only a few worldwide. Additional new concepts include Choco Boss, Best Market, and Choco Choo, while YO! Sushi debuted in Homepark Zli\u010d\u00edn.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Market growth is also fueled by urban redevelopment. The revitalization of Ji\u0159\u00edho z Pod\u011bbrad Square has attracted concepts such as Home of Dumplings. Prague continues to strengthen its appeal as a prime destination for international F&B brands, supported by strong purchasing power and tourism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fashion Expands Across Segments<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The fashion segment remains highly active, with new entries including Alisia Enco, Kenneth Cole, and Digel. The luxury segment was enriched by Italian brand Ermanno Scervino on Pa\u0159\u00ed\u017esk\u00e1 Street.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond fashion, new concepts span multiple categories\u2014from premium outdoor furniture brand Dedon and electronics retailer Contakt to the first Warhammer store and children\u2019s retailer Smyk..<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Czech Market Attracts International Brands<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

The Czech Republic\u2014particularly Prague\u2014is increasingly positioned as a gateway to Central Europe. A combination of strong retail infrastructure, ongoing redevelopment, and rising consumer spending creates an attractive environment for long-term brand growth across sectors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Strong Pipeline for the Second Half of the Year<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Further major entries are expected in the coming months. In F&B, brands such as Krispy Kreme, Burgermeister, and Sticks\u2019n\u2019Sushi are set to arrive. In fashion, OVS, Ochnik, and Red Wing Shoes will expand the offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
